I have worked in publishing for more than twenty-five years, variously as an editor, a typesetter, and a copyright manager.
I have extensive experience of editing,
proofreading, indexing, on-screen editing/indexing, typesetting, computer
graphic design, academic writing and journalism.

I have also edited/proofread various Dissertations and Theses for private students from Japan, Hong Kong, Turkey,
Germany, Poland, Hungary, the Scandinavian countries and the United States. I specialize particularly in improving the English of non-native-English speakers studying in advanced academic institutions. I am based in London, but I can receive and send documents as e-mail file attachments using virtually any standard word-processing package: e.g. files in Word 7 for Windows ME or Windows 95, or Word 6 for Windows 3.1 or Windows 95; or files in WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS;
or files in Word 4 for Macintosh; or files in
Rich Text Format (*.rtf); or files in ASCII text. I can also receive and edit all Microsoft Office files. For example, I have edited Powerpoint Presentations for Compaq and for Siemens.

Writing
I have a PhD in English literature, and I have written many articles myself on English literature and history, as well
as four books and two anthologies, and am a contributor to the Oxford
Dictionary of National Biography.
